Sound Colour Vibration member Kenn Deaton is always coming up with something that brings enjoyment to my life and this time he really out did himself. Read below on how to create your new band and how to Photoshop your first album cover under the new band name. After completing all the steps, my new band name is Ethology and my first record will have the title “The Joke He Resents”. Some in ths world can take themselves so serious that it is a nice excursion to do fun pojects like this that have no intention of proving how good one is as anything, just plain honest humour. If you create an album cover, please send to our gmail and we will upload the best of the ones we get into this post.

The Rules:

1 – Go to Wikipedia and hit random. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

……2 – Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 – Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”. Third picture no matter what …it is, will be your album cover.

4 – Use Photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together.

5 – Post it with this text and tag the friends you want to join in.

Omar Rodriguez completed his first tour of the United States under a band for the solo records he has been releasing, the Omar Rodriguez Group. I was fortunate enough to attend the Los Angeles gig and I was really happy to see the band released pro shot footage from that gig along with one from New York a few days later. Omar has been releasing albums at a very fast rate and news has been released of more to come before the year is over. His last album release, Cizaña De Los Amores is a beautiful album, and in my opinion is one of the best records in his entire catalogue as a musician he has released. ~ Erik Otis

Time lapse Earthstar fungi splitting open and then rising off the forest floor. It raises itself up so that the puff-ball is above the leaf litter and gets a better chance of being struck by raindrops which expels its spores.
