Long Arm “The Branches” | Project: Mooncircle

When it comes to music content, album design/packaging and an umbrella of artists under roof that reveals modern electronic beauty in every degree, Project: Mooncircle is at the top of my list. Every release they have turned out has a completely unique feel and all rise to a state of music that for me reveals producers who take their craft very serious. In an age where the modern tools of the beat generation can give artists of less discipline access, Project: Mooncircle works with artists that you can immediately sense have worked for years to accumulate the type of sonic vision achieved on every release from the label. I have come to admire what they are doing and it is a wonderful bonus to look at the gorgeous album art that is contained in the labels catalog.

I couldn’t have been more surprised when I got one of the labels newest release in from producer Long Arm and the special deluxe edition reissue of his LP The Branches. Included in this expanded edition is a set of remix tracks from the likes of Hidden orchestra, Dday One, 40 Winks and more. The Branches is a marvelous album and something that really takes my senses back. Heavy grooves are locked into dusty vinyl samples, lush stand up bass, elegant piano and break beats of the most beautiful kind. I feel like I am stuck simultaneously in the 30’s and the 90’s and 21st century eras of music when I hit play and every track delivers a mood that is transfixing. Without diving too far into the album, I really believe in what Long Arm achieved on The Branches and will continue to recommend this for years to come. This the type of analog sound that I crave for and am very happy I was introduced to it from the fine staff at Project: Mooncircle. Highly recommended from Sound Colour Vibration.

“The Branches” album is a reflection of a world, where human feelings and natural powers are bound together. Everything is correlated in this world. There is no alive-dead distinction. The season change depends just on state of mind. Every move, every wind breath, every sound brings an information, opened for everyone who believes and ready to accept it, who hears and knows how to listen.
