“The Move” Compilation | Tokyo Dawn Records

Welcome to the world of house.

Gone TDR.

House chopped and skewed with subliminal sci-fi noises, soulful anthems and constantly morphing, funkdified bass. Melodies that mix and turn between housed jazz, soul, funk and blues. House that uses upright basses to destroy 4 by 4 beats.

Repetitive bliss that keeps you in a trance without much effort at all. Although all 13 songs are long, the album seems to fly by because of it’s constant drive.

Now, I’m not a huge fan of House, of course there is some House that is wonderful, but it’s not my strong point. But this production brings House in as a crisp clean pair of jeans with shimmering soulful notes throughout. Artists stepping out and doing something else.

Listen if you like House, listen if you just want to hear a crazy assortment of colors pushed into one genre.
