Sekuoia/Rain Dog “Faces 12″ Series” | Finest Ego/Project Mooncircle

Project Mooncircle (Sekuoia/Rain Dog) have linked up with Finest Ego and will release memorable new 12” on the “Faces” project. “Faces” consists of Finest Ego/Project Mooncircle inviting different producers together to create two separate Vinyl’s with their own original artwork. Each release on “Faces” will have different producers. Sekuoia and Rain Dog’s comes out  July 27th.

It’s a stunning display of two experimental producers literally facing off with their different styles that are only connect by their obsession over details and intimacy. The tempos change like a bipolar child. The samples and cuts used are incredibly fresh.

Each song feels like a breath of ocean air with the salt cleaning out your throat. It’s stunningly original and melodic. When analyzing part from part, it seems like it should sound completely chaotic, but it doesn’t. It mixes perfectly.

And that’s just the thing about these two producers, they mix perfectly in the strange, ambient, gorgeous arrangement brought together on the 12”. There is so many layers of beats and bleeps going on underneath the songs but they all seem to be strategically placed, everything methodically planned out like some mathematical map.

Oh, and on top of all of that planning, it still sounds completely natural. The artwork is also gorgeous and is done by the aspiring artist Bioniq. It’s a sort of steam/bio punk concept of two minds working as gadgets. The album all together is amazing work that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Vinyl junkies will love it.
