Southern, CA hip-hop and electronic producer Gypsy Mamba has been making a small buzz this year with play on the famous Mary Ann Hobbs BBC radio show she hosts, tons of love with the Low End Theory family, a residency with the Beat Cinema in Southern, CA and a growing and rising awareness that is sure to take him much further than the worlds he has consumed. If you have yet to hear this producers works, we highly recommend you jump on the train and become aware of what Gypsy Mamba is doing right now.

Every melody from Gypsy Mamba comes at you like a thousand bullets in rapid fire, bass tones make the floor fall from beneath you like a trap door and samples fly out of the wood works to make one of the most hard hitting and interesting blends of beats I have heard this year. With the raw underlying essence of ancient knowledge and spirituality juxtapozed with the questionably sane underpinning of society Gypsy Mamba was raised in via Sacramento and the IE, the music comes full circle and reveals something much larger than just the beat world.

It’s the modern producer version of how Dead Prez infused gangster rap with revolutionary and conscious music. Gypsy Mamba deals in different realities but it is this same melting of very different worlds together that defines what he does so potently. A true separation of Gypsy Mamba from his contemporaries is always present in his music and this mix he prepared for SCV highlights this from front to back.
