Pangaea comes out of London’s evolving electronic and dub scene. As co owner of Hessle Audio and a handful of 12″ releases under his label, Pangaea is now working with Hemlock Recordings to release another 12″ this year. The two tracks are ‘Hex’ and ‘Fatalist’. Dubstep is a highly evolving genre and producers and artists like Pangaea are breathing new life into the genre every year along with paying homage to jungle, deep house, hip hop and all the other genres that have shaped dubstep. Hemlock is an all dub step label that began in 2008 and is ran by Jack Dunning (Untold) and Andy Spencer. Pangaea’s 12″ is the latest release from Hemlock.
With elements of older forms of electronic music infused, the new streams available from Hemlock Recordins of ‘Hex’ and ‘Fatalist’ from Pangaea have that sleek and dark ambiance to them that shows Pangaea’s signature sound. This is Pangaea’s first release outside of the prestigious Hessle imprint in some time. Not to be missed for those into modern forms of cutting edge and unique electronic music. – Erik Otis
