The latest article in our Love Devotion Surrender (LDS) free bootleg download series, we are happy to present two very rare Captain Beefheart items. Before we get into the until now uncirculated concert of Beefheart and The Magic Band in Finland and a set of interviews ranging from 1969 to 1978, we would like to first give thanks to the life and musical legacy left behind for future generation and generations by Captain Beefheart.

Beefheart created a body of work in modern music that will never be touched, emulated; his music will always be his own brand. He was a painter, he did sculptures and was one of the most unique multi instrumentalist of any period of music. He was very well know for providing collaboration with Frank Zappa and his Mothers of Invention at various intervals of the bands inception. Best know for his unique voice phrasing and lyrics, his imprint on music history will be invaluable for cultures to come. From the most punk band you can think of to the most avant guard musician out there, everyone really doing something with music has taken many vital things from Captain Beefheart. His legacy will be I will be proud to pass to the future generations to come.

Above is two downloads in FLAC quality, both of which were first downloaded from Dimeadozen. The live show presented has never been presented to the collectors networks until now, it is an audience recording and sounds really great for the year and sets the band was playing. I would of course like to give a very special thanks to all those involved for seeding these two shows out to dime, those who recorded and those who keep the music of Captain Beefheart alive. The interviews are a must hear look into the mind of Captain Beefheart over the course of a decade, 1969 to 1978. We hope you enjoy.
